Nice Work If You Can Get It
|
I've been writing scripts for Singapore television since 1996.
Granted, this isn't necessarily something to boast about. The May 16, 2003 issue of I-S magazine pointed out succinctly, if brutally, that "it doesn't take a genius ... to figure out that local English TV sucks." Be that as it may, writing scripts is what I do. And I'm grateful to have a job I truly enjoy.
Collected here are some of my own scripts. I've picked out one for each year that I've been a professional writer. They're the ones I like best.
Some are campy, some are serious. Some are for adults, and some are for kids. Except for two, all of them have been produced and aired on Singapore television. It's said that a writer puts a part of himself into every story his tells. Every story he writes says something about him. Well, these are my stories. And this is me. |
